Thinking about Silence to find Creativity

Some people have their best ideas in the shower… Me?  Mine come whilst I’m out walking.

Open your mind and let the pictures out.

I love walking - exploring new places and checking in with the old, well known routes regularly.  I walk for all sorts of reasons - I love being outdoors, I walk my dog, I explore, I hope it keeps me fit.  Interestingly I find it quietens me inside too - both my mind and body.

Quite recently, whilst I’ve been wandering and exploring the silence has struck me on a couple of occasions.  In our visually, busy, stressful and literally noisy world aren’t we lucky that we can still find areas of silence - even if we live in the city there are parks and spaces where silence can be found - early lunchtimes, later evenings.

In pursuit of silence.

Maybe a combination of looking for both external and internal silence is the idea - purposefully going out to walk and find quieter areas and possible environmental silence is where the internal quiet comes.
